DEvelopment manager
Megs
I have worked in setting up and managing projects with young people for 10 years. My background is in criminal justice and supporting young people leaving care. My passion is helping young people thrive through making choices that lead them to the things most important to them. I love YES because of the friendly caring relationships with have with each other and students.
Outside of work I love to get outside, in the sea or enjoying some music.
Maths Tutor
Jenny
PGCE (QTS)
I have over 30 years of teaching experience and believe passionately in education as a way of enriching young people’s lives and opening up opportunities. I love working at YES because it feels absolutely the right place to use my skills and experience to the best advantage for our wonderful young people.
Outside of work, I like to stay active and also enjoy music and reading.
Maths and English Tutor
Adele
PGCE (Skills for life) Literacy specialisation
My connection with YES goes back to 2011. I was a volunteer helper in an English class while training to be a teacher in adult education. After a few years, I took on similar work closer to home, but eventually was drawn back to YES to teach English and maths. I am particularly interested in how dyslexic people learn and can make progress outside of a formal school environment.
English Tutor
Daniel
BA Hons, MA and PGCE (QTS)
I have been a tutor with YES for 10 great years. As a result I have had the opportunity to work with people in 1 to 1 and group settings. These are designed to help the student achieve their goals in a supportive and focused environment, with a track record of success.
Support and Progression coach
Evie
I’m a support and progression coach and started with YES in August 2024. YES is such a warm and welcoming environment and I find it a complete privilege to work with the young people who attend. I love the emphasis on creating a positive learning experience for those who haven’t had this before.
I love drawing and getting creative as well as being outdoors and the occasional cold water dip!
