I’m Dick, I started working with the ROSLA Project, a forerunner of YES, when I was a student back in the 70’s. It’s fair to say that the experience was one of two things that fundamentally changed the direction of my life (the other was going caving for the first time, which led to a 40-year career as a cave explorer). I’m delighted and proud to be a Trustee of YES.
I’m Dave. I’ve been involved in education all my working life and have a special interest in widening participation and achievement. It’s a pleasure to have been involved in YES and its support for learners form the outset and to know that the work has been, over the years, and still is so helpful to so many people.
I’m Roger, and I have been involved with YES since 1973 when Dave and I took on the running of the Bristol School Leavers Project. Prior to that I had been teaching Science and Drama in a comprehensive school. I live in Bristol with Christine Gray and our children attended Ashton Park School, which has kept us closely connected to local educational issues in Bristol.
